2023-12-20Christmas Thanksgiving Prayer Service
On the 20th of December, 2023 all of us gathered in the school hall for a Christmas Thanksgiving Prayer Service. After the prayer gathering, the drama club presented a short play depicting three wise men who came to the present time, searching for the star that would guide them to find the Lord Jesus. Following their footsteps, they encountered individuals who treated others with kindness. Then, representatives from each class placed gifts near the Christmas tree, and the St. Joan of Arc Volunteer Team carried the love from the entire school to the elderly in the community. Following that, there were lucky draws organized by the Student Union, and an impressive piano performance by NG HO HEI, a student from Class 2CH, added a touch of brilliance to the auditorium on this day.

12月16-17日正向體驗營,這兩天訓練學生的合作性活動─隔空取物、夜行等,彼此不但合作性過,還有策略性思考、溝通訓練,讓學生腦筋急轉彎取勝,兩日一夜的宿夜的感情也增進不少。
2023-12-162023-24 leadership training program - IPSC Certificate Course
Students participating in the 2023-24 leadership training program were arranged to enroll in the IPSC Certificate Course. On 16th December, 2023, under the leadership of senior coaches from the Hong Kong Shooters Association, they learned how to use airsoft safely. By following the strict rules, they learned discipline and the importance of self-discipline for teamwork.
2023-12-14Joint Inauguration Ceremony of Student Union and Class Representative Council
Our school's Student Union and Class Representative Council were successfully elected on December 14th. Congratulations to all the elected members. We hope that you can give full play to the functions of the two associations, serve as a bridge between students and the school, and develop a better future for the school.
2023-12-08Visit Hong Kong Metropolitan University
On 8/12 (Friday) the Career Committee and the Non-Chinese Speaking Support Team took non-Chinese speaking students from Form 4 and Form 5 to visit Hong Kong Metropolitan University to help students better understand their graduation options and prepare for further studies in the future.
2023-12-06Outstanding IGCSE result
The 2022-2023 school year marked the first time for NCS students of our school taking in the Chinese Language Examination in the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). All students performed well and achieved remarkable results. A total of seven students from Form 5 Faith participated in this examination. Two of the students achieved the highest level (level 9) and the remaining five achieved the second highest level (level 8).
2023-12-06S6 Life Planning Day
December 2, 2023, is the Life Planning Day for Form 6 students. In the morning, students conducted a mock DSE results release activity, allowing students to learn from the activity how to make corresponding arrangements for further studies based on the results on the mock transcripts. At the same time, it can also make them reflect on the impact of different public examination results on their decision to study further. In the afternoon, students visited Hong Kong Shue Yan University to visit the campus facilities and learn about its different courses, to prepare for further studies.
2023-12-06E & M 75th Anniversary Fun Day
Participated in the "E & M 75th Anniversary Fun Day" of the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department and the launching ceremony of the "Electrical and Mechanical and Electrical Youth Ambassador" Campus Pilot Program Our school's Form 4 and Form 5 Physics students went to the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department Headquarters Building on December 1, 2023, to participate in the "E & M 75th Anniversary Fun Day" and the launching ceremony of the "Electrical and Mechanical Youth Ambassador" campus pilot program. A total of 34 primary and secondary schools participated in this project, which aims to let the younger generation understand the work of mechanical and electrical engineering and attract them to enter the industry.
2023-12-06Attending Hong Kong International Biotechnology Convention
10 of our S4 and S5 Biology students attended the Hong Kong International Biotechnology Convention organized by the Hong Kong Biotechnology Organization to learn about the latest development in biotechnology and how biotechnologies can be applied to enhance people’s living standard.
2023-11-28Outstanding GCSE result
In the 2022-2023 academic year, there were a total of fifteen students from Class 4FA in the subject Chinese Language who participated in the 2023 GCSE Chinese examination. Among them, four students achieved the highest level (level 9), and two students achieved the second-highest level (level 8). All the students in Class 4FA obtained grades that were at or above the passing level. Therefore, all fifteen students met the admission requirement for Chinese language proficiency for non-Chinese-speaking applicants as stated in the "University Admission Scheme."

In order to foster a sense of compassion and community among students, our school has arranged an event called the "Elderly Services Activity" on October 13th, 2023, for the SJA Volunteer Service Team. During this event, students actively participate in assisting with meal deliveries. The activity has been greatly enjoyed by everyone involved.
2023-11-21Hong Kong Catholic Diocesan Secondary School Chinese Education Committee_Learning Chinese, Learning Chinese Short Film Competition
This year, our school participated in the "Learn Chinese, Learn Chinese Well Short Film Competition" organized by the Chinese Education Committee of the Secondary Schools of the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong. The Form 4 faith class VIADO CHLOE GRACE FRANCISCO, YU ALLISON DEI MODESTO, RAEKA SHERCHAN and RAI ASHIM competed in the "Let's Prepare "Sweet and Sour Pork Together” was the theme of the short film and won the Merit Award!

2023-11-04Three members of our School's 48th Scout Group have simultaneously been awarded the Chief Scout's Award.
The Chief Scout’s Award is the highest award of the Scout Section It is in recognition of the Scouts’ achievement in the areas of Scoutcraft, Adventure, Culture, Community, Health, Commitment, Service and Leadership. We have 3 scout members achieved the highest progressive award in scout section - "Chief Scout's Award". These 3 members are Allison LUK (Sea Scout), Hayley WONG (Scout) & Hayden ONG (Air Scout). This year is a special year as the 3 scouts broke 3 records for the 48HKG! Record 1/ This year marks the 3rd consecutive year with members achieving the highest scout section award. (2021: Carrie YEUNG & Maggie LIU; 2022: Marcus CHONG) Record 2/ The most members achieving Chief Scout's Award in recent year Record 3/ First time to have members from sea, land and air scout section achieving the award.
2023-10-30Mission Sunday 2023 – “Climbing Mountains and Wading Water Missionary Journey” Athletics Competition
Students from our school participated in the “Climbing Mountains and Wading Rivers Missionary Journey” Athletics Competition organized by The Catholic Diocesan Mission Sunday Celebration Committee on 22nd October, 2023 (Sunday). The purpose of this event was to experience, through games, the hardships endured by Jesus, His disciples, and the early missionaries who traveled long distances, crossed oceans, and overcame mountains to bring the good news of the Gospel to remote areas in the East. Our students achieved third place in this competition.

2023-10-30S1 “Be a Companion” Scheme
To facilitate S1 students to adapt to secondary school life and cope with various academic challenges ahead, the Guidance & Counselling Committee has organized the named “Be a Companion” scheme. Regular diversified group activities led by social workers and well-trained S2 to S5 students will be arranged to strengthen S1 students’ individual and interpersonal development as well as to enrich their campus life experience.
2023-10-30Adaptation courses for NAC students
To enable Newly Arrived Children (NAC) to immerse themselves in our local environment and culture, adaptation courses were arranged by the Guidance and Counselling Committee. This programme has enhanced students' adaptation through tailor-made experiential activities. The course included personal growth seminars, Cantonese lessons and guidance on communication and interaction skills.

2023-10-18Visit Bausch & Lomb (Hong Kong) Asia Distribution Center
On October 4, 2023, the Career and Life Planning Committee led the participating students in a professional visit to the Bausch & Lomb (Hong Kong) Asia Distribution Center in Wong Chuk Yeung Street, Fotan. This visit was organized as part of our preparation for the "Logistics in Your Eyes" short film shooting competition, which was hosted by the Hong Kong Logistics Association. The purpose of the visit was to enhance our understanding of the logistics industry and equip ourselves with valuable insights for the competition.
2023-10-13S1-S3 Life Wide Learning Activities
For this academic year 2023-2024, there are a total of 11 activities available for students to select as part of their life-wide learning. In addition to the usual foreign language options, the newly introduced activities include badminton, Wing Chun martial arts, and violin. These additions provide students with a wider range of diverse activities to engage in and learn from.
2023-10-12BAFS and THS students visit the Grand Harbour Hotel Hong Kong
On the afternoon of October 12th, a group of 20 S5 students specializing in Business, Accounting and Financial Studies (BAFS) and Travel and Hospitality Studies (THS) had the opportunity to explore the renowned Grand Harbour Hotel in Hong Kong. Apart from conducting a comprehensive tour of the hotel's different departments, the students received valuable insights from the hotel staff regarding its organizational structure, day-to-day operations, and the promising career opportunities available within the hotel and hospitality industry in Hong Kong. This visit provided the students with a deeper understanding of the local hotel industry's growth and management practices.
2023-10-12S1 Tai Hang Heritage Guided Tour
PSHE Key Learning Area organized a Life wide Learning Activity in the afternoon of 11 October 2023. The whole S1 students went to visit the Tai Hang Fire Dragon Heritage Centre and conducted on-site field study in the Tai Hang area to gain an understanding of the local history, geography, and cultural landscape. The purpose of the activity was to enhance their interest in learning and deepen their recognition of local culture, as well as to provide a foundation for our PSHE cross curriculum project learning work.

This activity led non-Chinese speaking students from Form 4 and 5 to visit the Cisco System Limited in Wan Chai to learn about the development of the technology industry, gain insight into various career fields in the technology company, and prepare for high school career planning.

During the Mid-Autumn Festival this year, all the students gathered together and went to the Chinese Culture Room to participate in the lantern riddle guessing activity. The atmosphere was lively and the students had a great time.
2023-09-22Extra-curricular Activities Club Membership Recruitment Day 2023
On September 22, 2023, the school held the Extra-curricular Activities Club Membership Recruitment Day. This year, there were a total of 13 clubs . Each club made great effort in decorating their booths, aiming to attract students to join and participate in their club activities. Additionally, students had the opportunity to vote for their favorite club booth design during the event. The "Book Club" emerged as the winner with the highest number of votes this year.

2023-09-082023-24 Secondary One Orientation Activities
The 2023-2024 Secondary 1 Orientation Activities were successfully completed on July 20-21, 2023. The orientation activities were rich in content, including various group activities and campus tours. Students were able get to know each other, enhance their sense of teamwork and cohesion. Each S1 student was given a small potted plant in the "Goal Setting" activity. While decorating the potted plant, they wrote down their personal goals which act as reminders for them to put into practice.
2023-09-05Workshop of Communication Skill by Saint Mark Coptic Orthodox Association on 5 September
Saint Mark Coptic Orthodox Association (SMCOA) is a non-profit charitable organization established in 2010 in Hong Kong by the Coptic Christian Orthodox church of Egypt. Inspired by the Gospel and the life of St. Mark’s, SMCOA devotes all its efforts in spreading peace, love, fighting poverty and the harms brought by conflicts all over Asia. On 5 September, 5 members of SMCOA offered a communication skill workshop to our S4 students after school. Through activities, students were able to understand their own character, its strength and weakness and learn to use communication skills to cooperate with others. Last but not least, instructors made use of 5 different stories from the Bible and discussed with students what sort of skill should be applied in those situations. SMOCA members also brought souvenirs of DIY book marks and hand-made weaving holy pictures as gifts to teachers and students. Their enthusiasm really benefited our students greatly.
