  • Formation of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Action by Rev. Fr. Nicholas Maestrini P.I.M.E. and Mother Erminia.
1940
1940
  • Establishment of St. Joan's English Evening School in Shaukiwan and Nam Wah College by St. Joan of Arc for Catholic Action.
1950
1955
  • Establishment of St. Joan of Arc School at Robinson Road by the St. Joan of Arc Group Formation of the St. Joan of Arc Council Ltd, the school sponsoring body Ms. Nellie Seu was appointed as Supervisor and Principal.
1960
1962
  • The first batch of students participated in the Hong Kong School Leaving Certificate Examination.
 
1965
  • Celebration of the school's 10th anniversary.
 
1966
  • Dr. E. Thom was appointed as Supervisor.
  • Mrs. Winnie Tan was appointed as Principal.
 
1969
  • Mrs. Winnie Tan was appointed as Supervisor.
1970

  • The school became one of the Catholic Diocesan secondary schools.
  • Rev. Fr. J. Carra was appointed as Supervisor.
  • Mr. T.L. Shin was appointed as Principal.
  • Formation of Parent-Teacher Association

  • Launch of matriculation class (Arts).
  • Set up of School Prefect Council and Class Representative Council.

  • Became a government aided school.
  • The first batch of S7 students took part in the HKU Advanced Level Examination.
  • Celebration of the school's 20th anniversary.
  • Organised the first Aquatics Meet.
 
1976
  • Formation of SJA Past Students' Association.
 
1977
  • Opening of Biology Laboratories.
  • Opening of School library.
  • The school's first walkathon was held.

  • Celebration of the school's Jubilee anniversary.
  • St. Joan of Arc School (primary section) moved to the campus on Ching Wah Street gradually.
 
1982
  • Rev. Fr. Edward Yu was appointed as Supervisor.
 
1984
  • Rev. Fr. James Wan was appointed as Supervisor.
  • Launch of matriculation class (Science).
  • Secondary 6 and 7 became co-educational.
 
1986
  • School moved to 55 Braemar Hill Road.
 
1988
  • Opening of Transfiguration Chapel.
  • Set up of scholarships sponsored by former presidents of SJA Past Students' Association.

  • Cardinal Wu Cheng-Chung, John Baptist presided over the consecration and inauguration ceremony of the new school building.
  • Celebration of the school's 35th anniversary.

  • Rev. Fr. Joseph Mak was appointed as Supervisor.
  • Mr. Michael M.H. Hong was appointed as Deputy Principal.
  • Ms. Veronica K.C. Ma was appointed as Principal.
 
1995
  • Rev. Joseph Mak presided over the consecration ceremony of three sacred statues.
  • Formation of the first Students' Union.

  • Celebration of the school's 40th anniversary.
  • First launch of the school's website.

  • QEF project – innovative IT learning programme.

  • Set up of Ms. Nellie Seu fund by alumni.
  • Celebration of the school's 45th anniversary.

  • QEF – coral reef learning at school campus.

  • Organized an exchange tour to Shanghai for educational research purposes, led by the principal, accompanied by the school board members and dozens of teachers, to explore the local educational system.
  • QEF – Reading scheme.
 
2003
  • Closure of St. Joan of Arc School (primary section).
  • Mrs. W.Y.L. Choy was appointed as Deputy Principal.
  • The school improvement project commenced, with the construction of a seven-storey new wing building on the existing basketball court.
 
2004
  • Ms. Y.W. Ng was appointed as Principal.
 
2005
  • Completion of the school's new wing building.
  • Celebration of the school's 50th anniversary.
 
2006
  • Rev. Fr. Paul KIM Dong Ju was appointed as Supervisor.
  • Mr. P.L. Lau was appointed as Principal.
 
2007
  • The first launch of mentorship scheme supported by alumni.
 
2008
  • Confirmation of "Faith, Hope, Love, Justice, Wisdom, Courage" as core values to foster St. Joanians.
  • Opening of the School's History Room sponsored by alumni.
  • Opening of new broadcast and production centre for Campus TV.

  • Implementation of new senior form education.
  • Establishment and consecration of Virgin Mary Statue.

  • Joined the Voluntary Optimisation of Class Structure Scheme.
 
2012
  • The first batch of S6 students joined the first Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSE).
  • Ms. Janet W.C. Wong was appointed as Principal.
 
2013
  • Co-organised 21st Catholic Diocesan Inter-secondary school Athletic Meet.
 
2014
  • The first admission of non-Chinese speaking students to Form 1.
  • Launch of GCSE Chinese curriculum.
 
2015
  • Formation of Incorporated Management Committee.
  • Ms. Carol W.Y. Cheng was appointed as Principal.
  • School accepted both boys and girls to become a co-educational secondary school.
  • Celebration of the school's Diamond anniversary.
