We begin each November with the Feasts of All Saints and All Souls. The entire month is dedicated to remembering and praying for the dead and relieving the sufferings of the souls in purgatory. A mass was held in Transfiguration Chapel in remembrance of deceased relatives, friends and those who once served in SJA with dedication in their life. Mass celebrant, Fr. Ngai reminded us to honour the memory of the dead through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass at all times.
In the Gospel of John (Jn. 14:6), Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one goes to the Father except by me." Everyone will experience birth, aging, sickness and death, but some people are afraid and worried. Those who have faith trust that life is a mission. Through learning, we understand the grace of life, discover our talents, abilities and contribute to society so as to cherish and enrich our lives. We should be thankful for our precious blessings and walk the journey of life together with Jesus, the Son of our eternal God.
