Advent – Ignite hope in SJA

1^st Week : Be Alert (Hope)
Purple signifies the need to prepare ourselves well during Advent. We light a candle every week to wait for the arrival of Christ, the light of the world.
Lighting the first candle by Principal Yuen, marking the beginning of another liturgical year filled with HOPE and BLESSINGS.

2^nd Week : Choose the right path to follow God (Love)
What is the right attitude to serve God during the second week of Advent?  Simply prepare lessons beforehand, be attentive and diligent in your learning, finish all your assignments on time and revise what you have learnt.  In doing so, you have already opted for a Christian way of life; choosing the right path to follow God.

3^rd Week : Be Charitable (Joy)
How to be charitable on the 3^rd week of Advent? You only need to do the minimal, to  serve the people around you, such as greeting others in the morning, showing your response when communicating with people, wearing a smile while caring and helping the needy.

4^th Week : Act like Mary (Peace)
Can we mimic Mother Mary on the 4^th week of Advent? The moment when Mary knew the pregnancy of her cousin, Elizabeth, she instantly visited and took care of her.  We can pay attention to the people around us to see if we could offer help accordingly, such as, helping teachers collect and distribute exercise books, lending stationery to classmates.
