On 10th January, SJA Catholic teachers had a special meeting at the Religious Room. The teachers were given an opportunity to unleash their potentials in visual arts before the group discussion.
After the opening prayer led by Ms. Chan, who especially invoked the Holy Spirit to guide through the meeting, Ms. Fion Ko delivered an inspiring lesson on harmonious pastel painting. The hands-on experience on creating their original artwork on the themes of “Five loaves & Two Fish” and “The Foot Prints in the Sand” was second to none. It was really amazing that beautiful paintings could be created by smearing one’s finger on the powdered pastel colour.
After watching the video of Bishop Ha, small group discussions were carried out on Consultation of People of God by the Assembly of Bishops in Synod. Discussion was mainly on items 5 and 8 from the given list of questions.
The prayer session at the school Chapel marked the end of the gathering. All participants were proud to present their own paintings to God as an offering prayer.
