The SJA Rope Skipping Competition was held at the basketball court during lunch time on 4 July.  There were 8 teams participating in the fund-raising event composing of our principal, teachers and students. All funds are donated to help in the construction and renovation of churches. This has also been as good opportunity to encourage students to form a good habit of doing regular exercises.

Each team skipped for two minutes and competed to see which team could achieve the most counts.  There were a maximum of three members in each team and the three members would take turns. We were all thrilled to have two winning teams, namely, “The Rope Skipping Pioneers” of 3JU and “The Pathetic Losers” of 4CH. The 2018 visiting graduates also joined the competition as an impromptu programme. The groups raising the most funds were the Principal Team, and “I-pad kids” Team. We are glad to announce that the total sum raised was HK$1,612.

The Rope Skipping Competition faced an unexpected challenge with the sudden trigger of the fire alarm alert. Not only did it not disrupt the students’ active participation in the event, but it went on smoothly after the sudden fire drill was over.  To our surprise, extra students were attracted to go to the basketball court to watch the game as though they were called by the sudden bell.  The Rope Skipping Competition game finally came to a close with the splendid performance by Luk Wing from 4HO.
