In conjunction with the "Hong Kong Reading for All Day" on April 23, our school library will hold different types of activities to encourage students to read, expand their knowledge, and enjoy the fun of reading.

They also participated in the session of the "2024 Read the Declaration Together". The theme of the declaration was "My Will".
(3) Participate in the "Joint Primary and Secondary Schools Read Together for Half an Hour" activity
- The library director and three librarian representatives participated in the "Joint Primary and Secondary Schools Reading for Half an Hour" activity in the auditorium of the HKSKH Bishop Hall Secondary School. Teachers and students brought their own reading materials: physical printed books, together with other school’s present teachers and students, read together for half an hour and enjoy the fun of reading.
(4) Book recommendations and book report activities:
- The library displays book recommendations for students’ reference and borrowing. After students write a book report and receive corrections from the teacher, those who meet the standard will receive a souvenir to encourage reading.
(5) Book Drifting activity
Book drifting originated in Europe in the 1960s. It means that citizens place books after reading in public places, such as on benches in parks, and provide them free of charge for others to pick up and read. After reading, then put the books in other public places in the same way, so that the books can continue to float so that more people can read them. This method is not only environmentally friendly, makes books widely circulated, but also encourages reading. The library places canceled old books and magazines in the "Book Drifting Corner" outside the library door, allow students to read freely, so that books can meet more friends.
