The WSC Physics Challenge 2025 is an inter-school physics competition organized by Wong Shiu Chi Secondary School. It aims to spark students’ interest in Physics, reinforce the content of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Physics curriculum, and cultivate problem-solving skills and teamwork. Our school sent four Secondary 5 students studying Physics to participate in this event on May 24, 2025.

This competition was attended by representatives from a total of 34 secondary schools. Our students participated actively and demonstrated a solid foundation in physics as well as strong problem-solving skills.The students actively engaged in the competition and demonstrated a solid foundation in physics knowledge and problem-solving abilities. They performed steadily in the Preliminary Round and, although they did not advance to the Final Round, their overall performance met expectations. While waiting for the announcement of the finalists, a guest lecture titled “Discovery of the God Particle" was held, delivered by Dr. Vivienne Man Yuen Wah. The students listened attentively, reflecting their strong interest in physics research.
