On September 5th, Rev. Fr. Dominic Lui was invited to host the opening ceremony and introduce the theme of this academic year: "Courage."    Students can focus on character strengths such as perseverance, admit mistakes, and embrace challenges.  Through these qualities, they can embody the spirit of the theme and make use of their wisdom to demonstrate courage.

Father Lui shared an inspirational message, comparing life to a ship sailing through unpredictable storms. He reminded students that challenges in personal growth, academics, and relationships are much like the storms encountered during a voyage—often unforeseen. However, by relying on God, they can calm the inner turbulence and find true peace. He specifically mentioned the Jubilee Year emblem, where the cross symbolizes the "Anchor of Hope," firmly rooted in the land of heaven. Even amidst storms, it can provide stability and reassurance.

During the ceremony, students collaboratively discussed and wrote their goals for the new school year on symbolic paper sails, which were then offered during the liturgical dedication. This act expressed their commitment to striving toward the academic year's theme.

With the ringing of the new school year’s bell, students, inspired by the message of "Choose Goodness and Be Courageous," embarked on a fresh and meaningful journey!
