The Caritas Charity Bazaar was successfully held at St. Paul’s Convent School on November 2nd. St. Joan of Arc Secondary School threw its full support behind the event, translating the spirit of charity into concrete action to raise essential funds for Caritas. This grand gathering was not only a successful fundraising initiative but also a powerful testament to the unity and compassion of the community.
Despite coinciding with the examination week, which prevented current students from attending in person, a group of dedicated alumni proactively heeded the call from the Principal and teaching staff. They shouldered the responsibility of preparing and managing the school's stall, ensuring its smooth operation. This cross-generational collaboration, rooted in a profound sense of belonging and a commitment to service, ultimately evolved into a heartwarming display of legacy, showcasing a noble spirit of selfless dedication.
At the bazaar, St. Joan of Arc Secondary School's stall offered a wide array of items. These included gifts generously donated by benefactors from various sectors, as well as exquisite handmade crafts meticulously created by students in their spare time. These heartfelt items attracted a large number of citizens who made purchases to support the charitable cause.
This bazaar successfully strengthened the collaborative network between the parish and the school, allowing the participating communities to support one another like a large family. Inspired by the ethos of "Love in the Service of Hope", St. Joan of Arc Secondary School brought together the forces of its staff, students, alumni, and parish. In doing so, they translated the essence of Catholic education into action, spreading this message of love and hope to every corner of society.
