ST. Joan of Arc Secondary School

St. Joan of Arc Secondary School ensures equal opportunities in school admission for all eligible NCS students. We are committed to encouraging and supporting the integration of NCS students into the community by providing rewarding education services.
Curriculum
  • Providing HKDSE curriculum

Outstanding GCSE result

In the GCSE 2017, 2 Students from S.5 Faith got the highest level(A*) in Chinese subject in GCSE.

In the GCSE 2018, 5 Students from S.5 Faith got the highest level(Level 9) in Chinese subject in GCSE.

In GCSE 2019, William David Supranto from S.5 Faith got the OUTSTANDING PEARSON LEARNER AWARD for attained the highest mark in Hong Kong for GCSE Chinese ( spoken Cantonese).

In the GCSE 2020, 4 Students from S.4 Faith got the highest level in Chinese subject in GCSE. All students have the alternative qualifications in Chinese Language requirement for the admission to the JUPAS Participating-Institution.

In the GCSE 2022, our students achieved remarkable results in Chinese Language. Ten students in S4 Faith sat for the 2022 GCSE Chinese language examination. 5 students achieved the highest level, Level 9, while 2 other students obtained Level 8. 90% students passed the examination and therefore fulfilled the alternative qualification of Chinese Language requirement for the admission of the JUPAS Participating-Institution.

In the 2022-2023 academic year, there were a total of fifteen students from Class 4FA in the subject Chinese Language who participated in the 2023 GCSE Chinese examination.
Among them, four students achieved the highest level (level 9), and two students achieved the second-highest level (level 8). All the students in Class 4FA obtained grades that were at or above the passing level.
Therefore, all fifteen students met the admission requirement for Chinese language proficiency for non-Chinese-speaking applicants as stated in the University Admission Scheme.


Outstanding IGCSE result

The 2022-2023 school year marked the first time for NCS students of our school taking in the Chinese Language Examination in the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). All students performed well and achieved remarkable results. A total of seven students from Form 5 Faith participated in this examination. Two of the students achieved the highest level (level 9) and the remaining five achieved the second highest level (level 8).


Our school is recognised as the Racially Friendly Campus Champion by the Equal Opportunities Commission.
