Our school's Curriculum Development Committee organized Sustainable Development Week from 23 to 27 March. Guided by our patron saint St. Francis of Assisi and the spirit of “Minoritas, Fraternity”—humility and solidarity with all creation—the programme aimed to nurture students' care for our common home. Through display boards, a themed book exhibition, and interactive activities, students learned to understand sustainable development as a balance among the environmental, economic, and social dimensions. The week also raised awareness of how climate change intensifies extreme weather and increases risks to resources and ecosystems, linking the topic to national security perspectives such as resource security, food security, and ecological security. Students were encouraged to turn knowledge into action by practising waste reduction, recycling, and low-carbon living in school and daily life, and by developing a stronger sense of responsibility for protecting our shared environment.
