Religious, Ethics & Moral Education Committee and Geography departments jointly organised a Hunger Banquet on 27th November for S2 students. This event aimed to provide students with an opportunity to experience the phenomenon of wealth disparity and reflect on their position in a materially affluent society. It sought to help students develop empathy and benevolence, while fostering an awareness of adopting different perspectives in life. Additionally, it served as a reminder to make good use of the Earth's resources and fulfil the responsibilities of being stewards of the planet.
Furthermore, by understanding the current state of food supply globally and in China, students were made aware that having safe and nutritious food is not a given. Ensuring national food security forms a vital foundation for achieving economic development, social stability, and national security.
