It is with great optimism and excitement that I welcome you to the beginning of a new school year. We are opening a fresh chapter dedicated to learning together, building meaningful relationships, and supporting every single student in reaching their fullest potential.

We continue our important work guided by our school development plan (2024-2027), which focuses on two pivotal areas:

1. Adapting to curriculum trends, providing students with diverse opportunities to enrich their learning experiences (豐富多元的學習經歷)
2. Strengthening national identity (國民身份認同) and fostering a healthy lifestyle (健康的生活方式), cultivating virtuous and talented students

The theme of the school year is COURAGE (擇善勇敢). We are dedicated to nurturing this spirit in our students by encouraging three character strengths:

First, the courage of perseverance (堅毅不屈). We want our students to have the heart to persist, especially when faced with difficulty. The path to mastery in any field including academic, artistic or athletic, is paved with challenges. We teach our students to see these not as roadblocks, but as necessary steps in the journey of growth.

Second, the courage to admit mistakes (承擔錯誤). Everyone makes mistakes. It is essential to teach students to summon the strength to acknowledge their errors, to apologise and most importantly, to learn from the experience. We foster a school environment where vulnerability is seen as a strength, not a weakness, and where every error is viewed as a priceless learning opportunity.

Third, the courage to embrace challenges (接受挑戰). We empower our students to step outside their comfort zones, to try new things, and to not be afraid of failure. For it is only by daring to try that we truly discover what we are capable of achieving.
