To deepen students' understanding of Catholicism and in response to the Jubilee Year – Pilgrims of Hope, teachers led junior secondary students, accompanied by the Jubilee cartoon character LUCE, on a special pilgrimage to Kaohsiung. The most significant part of this trip, which best demonstrated and allowed for understanding the "localization" process of the Church in Chinese lands, was visiting a church rich in Chinese cultural characteristics – the Yanshui Catholic Church in Tainan.
Furthermore, in light of former Pope Francis' encyclical Laudato Si' (On Care for Our Common Home), we must fulfill our environmental ethical responsibilities. Therefore, during the trip, we visited the Rende Water Resources Recycling Center to learn and understand the importance of cherishing water resources.
Throughout the journey, students deepened their understanding of God and drew closer to God and nature through daily prayer, reflection, and contemplation. The Thanksgiving Mass on the last day was the highlight of the entire trip. During the liturgy, students offered up their four-day journey and experiences, and through their artistic creations, entrusted everything to God, bringing the trip to a perfect close.
