S4 and S5 Geography students visited the Stephen Hui Geological Museum at the University of Hong Kong on 23 March, in collaboration with the Reading Promotion Team to run the Book Journey Series – Earth Evolution. Before the visit, students read the “Earth Evolution” reading materials and answered basic guiding questions to build foundational understanding. During the visit, they engaged with exhibits such as the interactive Earth model and large rock/fossil displays, connecting textbook concepts with Hong Kong geology examples. Students then completed a reading report to reflect on their learning and set measurable personal goals for sustainable action. Overall, the activity effectively integrated reading with experiential learning, strengthening subject understanding, inquiry skills, and a sense of resource stewardship.
