Turning Waste into Festive Joy: An Interactive Environmental Initiative

Our Interact Club recently launched the EverGreen Sports Fun Day, an initiative organized by the Rotary Club of The HUB Hong Kong. To inaugurate this intergenerational project, Interactors and student volunteers participated in an educational visit to T·PARK to explore sustainable waste-to-energy technologies, followed by an environmental workshop centered on the theme of turning waste into festive joy.

Students applied 4R principles to help test and demonstrate low-intensity, seated carnival games constructed from upcycled domestic waste. By trialing these games, students evaluated their safety, structural durability, and physical suitability for elderly players. This crucial evaluation process ensured that the upcycled materials are optimized to bring recreational joy and engagement to residents during our upcoming service visits to local elderly care homes.
